Climate
The climate of Uzbekistan is sharply continental, hot and arid. The average temperature in winter ranges from -8 C to +3 C, in mountainous areas it can drop to -16 C. In summer, the temperature in the northern regions of the country reaches +32 C, and in the south - and up to not weak +42 C. The best time to visit the country is spring (April to June) and autumn (September-October).

National Cuisine

Shopping

Customs
Persons over 16 years old are allowed duty-free import of 1000 cigarettes or 1000 gr. tobacco products, 1.5 liters of alcoholic beverages and two liters of wine.
It is forbidden to import drugs and potent medicines (a prescription is required), weapons and ammunition, photographs, printed and video materials directed against the state system of Uzbekistan or the norms of Islam.
All valuable items (jewelry, photo and video cameras, computers, and so on) must be declared. For the export of precious metals and stones, furs, weapons and ammunition, artistic and historical values (any items made more than 100 years ago), you will need a special permit from the country's Ministry of Culture. Import and export of foreign currency is not limited, but a declaration is required.

Procedure for issuing, extending and exchanging residence permits for foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In order to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan apply to the Department of Migration and Citizenship Registration (hereinafter - OMiOG) of district (municipal) departments of internal affairs (departments) (followed by RGUOVD) and submit the following documents:
application form in 2 copies;
Passport of a foreign citizen or travel document of a stateless person;
application of the owner (owners) of the dwelling on the provision of living space;
the original housing documents (copies, originals are returned);
Documents on the conclusion of marriage, on the birth of a child, on the death of parents, as well as documents confirming guardianship or guardianship (copies, originals are returned);
Receipt for payment of a fee for the consideration and execution of documents in the amount established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

To extend the temporary residence permit of foreign citizens, the inviting (host) persons, organizations must apply to the territorial internal affairs bodies three working days before the expiration of the temporary residence permit.
