Maternity leave.
The right to maternity leave includes 70 (seventy) calendar days before delivery and 56 (fifty-six) calendar days after delivery.

*In the event of the birth of two or more children or complicated childbirth, the duration of leave after childbirth is also 70 (seventy) calendar days.

To apply for maternity leave, a woman must submit a sick leave certificate and an application to the employer, i.e., the HR department.

To obtain a sick leave certificate, it is necessary to apply to the city family polyclinic at the place of permanent or temporary registration of the pregnant woman.

Obtaining a sick leave certificate.
It is usually given after 30 weeks of pregnancy for the entire leave period (70 days before delivery + 70 days after delivery) at the family polyclinic at the place of permanent or temporary registration.

For this, it is possible to issue a replacement card at the family polyclinic and then obtain a sick leave certificate, which must be submitted to the employer along with the application. Then, wait for the execution of the order on granting maternity leave.

At 36-37 weeks of pregnancy, the obstetrician-gynecologist signs an exchange card. The exchange card is issued after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The exchange card must be with the pregnant woman during childbirth at the maternity hospital.

The amount of maternity benefits is calculated based on the average salary for the last 12 months. To receive the benefit, a woman must have continuous work experience for the last 6 months. If a woman has worked for less than a year, the amount of the benefit can be 75 percent of the average monthly salary.

Before going to the maternity hospital, take with you an ID card, a copy of the marriage certificate, replacement from the polyclinic.
